Beach stuff in South Africa

South Africa has a lot of coastline, and we were fortunate enough to visit some of it. Here are some things we saw at the beaches.

What is it? A jellyfish or portion of one? Dan poked at it with a stick, but we couldn't tell.

On this beach at Cape Vidal on the east coast, we pretty much had the place to ourselves. Walking along the sand was lovely, even though it was a bit overcast and windy. We noticed some odd designs in the sand and took a closer look.

They turned out to be snail trails. Those snails sure take circuitous routes.
